Analyzers
& Power Quality Analyzer
According to the IEEE 1159 standard, the PM174 is a power quality analyzer that provides comprehensive monitoring and reporting capabilities.* It may be integrated into utility substation or industrial SCADA systems thanks to its built-in digital I/Os and serial communication interface that supports SCADA-driven protocols. Its strong LED 7-segment display illuminates brightly even in the darkest conditions, allowing for easy readout of critical power data on-site. Similarly, it features an LED load-bar that allows you to see the load % at a glance.
Our flagship analyzer, the PM180, combines numerous very advanced features in a single device, making it a cost-effective option.
It has a unique modular design that allows for the hot-swap of a number of add-on cards, resulting in varied functionality. As such, it may integrate and replace the functions of multiple devices, saving money and space while reducing complexity.
The EDL180 is a portable version of the Class A (Edition 3) PM180 power quality analyzer, which has a proven track record of acting as the foundation for power quality monitoring systems in global national grids.
Equipped with a 24V battery for backup power supply and flexible current clamps, it is kept in a lightweight carrying bag for easier handling.
The EM920 is the ANSI version of the eXpertMeterTM Series’ multifunctional power analyzers. This series was created to provide two features that are present in every substation, in a single device:
- PQ Analyzer & Power Meter, typically required by utility SCADA teams
- Revenue Meter, typically operated and read by the utility billing department
Combining these functions simplifies design and eliminates redundancy.
Other Featured Accessories
PAS
Power Analysis Software
PAS is SATEC’s complete analytical and engineering software, used to configure and monitor all SATEC equipment.
It offers a number of tools to aid in system configuration, such as a communication debugging module.
PAS is included with all SATEC instruments at no additional cost.
EMS
Energy Management System
Expertpower is a comprehensive energy management software suite that includes a variety of applications. These include Meter Data Management (MDM), billing, monitoring, business intelligence (BI), energy efficiency, demand response, detailed power quality analysis, and support for independent power producers’ basic planning and forecasting operations. Energy consumption projections and associated alerts are included, allowing for energy consumption optimization, grid reliability improvement, and Time-Of-Use (TOU) optimization.
HACS
High Accuracy Current Sensors
SATEC’s HACS concept CTs are developed to improve energy metering accuracy and facility safety.
With over 100,000 units deployed in various commercial, industrial, residential, and utility applications, SATEC’s HACS CTs are your go-to for a safe facility, simple installation, and high accuracy, which is what metering is all about.
ETC-II
Internet Gateway and Data-logger
The ETC-II Gateway, Data-logger, and Gateway supports data accumulation from instruments in background mode via the Modbus protocol (as Modbus master). A maximum of 64 address ranges can be configured. The data is kept in a buffer with 120 16-bit registers allotted for each server address range. Users can specify up to 120 contiguous registers (per address range) in the connected instrument that will be continually polled and updated in the server register array. Each instrument can be configured with any number of device register ranges.
DC Accessories
Direct Current Measurement
SATEC offers a one-of-a-kind, comprehensive DC metering solution based on the PRO Series meters.
The PRO’s current sensing technology consists of Hall Effect Sensors.
The voltage is measured directly, with a rating of up to 1,000V DC.
